As I stand here;
Watching,
Hoping,
That all will be fine
I am not sure what I’ll do,
If you don’t make it.
If you were to leave me again,
But for eternity.
I stand here wishing I could do more,
If only I were strong again.
If only to hold you here a little longer.
Keep you to myself for just a minute more.
The side of me science praises,
It says you will not be here tomorrow.
But the side that science loathes,
The side that loves you so deeply says you have a chance.
I know this is folly,
I know this is all in vain,
But perhaps there is a hope,
Small as it may be.
You proved science wrong the day you were born,
The day you lived,
You showed the world the truth.
Show them again if only for my sake.
Even as I stand here,
I see your power slip away.
You silver hair looks only white,
As if it’s life be drained away.
The electric aurora that surrounds you,
Is slipping,
Slipping back into the air.
Can you not sense my distress?
Even in your unconscious state.
Please I beg of you find a reason to live.
Call your life back into you.
Please,
Please try and live.
Just try.
Try for the sake of the world.
For my sake.
Ok so I think I need to explain this one. You see the man from "With You Gone" speaks of the same woman. She is deathly sick.
