Epilogue:

Maieko, Sari, and Tora sat on the roof watching the stars. They each pondered over the past nine months. All the adventures they had, the romance, the excitement.

“Girls it’s time to come to bed!” Ani called.

“We’ll be right down mom!” Maieko answered.

“Do you think we’ll ever go back there?” Sari asked.

“I don’t know” Maieko replied, “I mean anything’s possible.”

“Yea” Tora agreed, “I do know one thing though.”

“What’s that?” they both asked.

“If we do go back, I know there’s no other people I ‘d rather go with then you two.”

“Aw Tora that’s sweet” Sari hugged her.

“Yea” Maieko hugged her as well, “We should go down.” She climbed the ladder down off the roof.

“Tora are you coming?” Sari asked climbing down.

“I’ll be in a minute.”

“Okay.”

Tora took one last look at the moon, caressed the ruby on her finger, and smiled.

She wouldn’t forget. Not in a million years.
