Tears overflow

The dam of my resistance

Across these lonely shores

Now the flood is uncontrolled

And these feelings are fit to burst

But…I still can’t summon up

Tumult tides within my heart

So I stand still and listen

As the voices of lost lovers call

Over the long and distant waves

To those left on lonely shores
