Stealing the Stars
Author:
mizu no kokoro PM
Alone you shall ponder one day, about the stars that glow so bright above your head... you'll wonder, but inside you shall remember the way you left me behind in the dust, without another word. So much for a wish to come true. Read and review, thanks,

Stealing the Stars

-

A lonesome whisper

Beneath the dark cloak of sky

Limned faintly in slumber

The forlorn silence of goodbye

-

Hopelessly, I was dreaming

Granted the will to go on

In the end it all was deceiving

The limp lines of fate undone

That one moment, I believed

"One day, your wish will come true"

But without the wings to fly upon

Never to the stars above

Or the effulgent moon

-

Your words

Shudder of false sincerity

Proven by the silence

That there is no such thing as destiny

-

Without a single remonstrance

I leave the door of my heart

Your whispers that held so much promise

Lingers in the painful dark

-

Because from me,

You have selfishly stolen the stars

-
