All Hail the Scientists

Running in circles

Only to find no end

The line has no curve

And no logarithmic function to measure

The expense of this tremor

The buildings were burned

Busses overturned

The end of the world is now

Crept upon us like cancer

And slit our throats while we sleep

Don’t go looking to the sky for an answer

Besides, the boat destined for hell is cheaper

You have been sold out and exploited

Cold and naked in a room of skeletal emperors

They judge you, they judge you

Cough and spit up blood all over the walls

Chained to the cellmate with no cellular activity

And shackled to the promises you forgot

The end of the world is now

Let’s hold hands and skip down the rows

Of severed heads and disemboweled lovers in beds

Towards the hills

I want to be front row when the atom bomb explodes

A nuclear shower of light

Let’s watch the fireworks baby

Come dance with me

The end of the world is now

Come and dance with me into the white
