Logic Says the Null Set, but Religion Bends the Rules

You know:

I wish I could

Solve this simple equation

and fit in

with the majority

of this world

that finds all the answers by-

Reaching towards the sky

and feeling as though I belong

I can feel pure,

spiritual,

and cleansed

Yet I can never find

The source

So many others

have found

X-

Number of people

Keep it

tucked away in their mind

And heart

Containing simple devotion

leads to promise

of salvation

from all errors and sin

Otherwise,

Consequences of

a simple mistake,

one decision,

result in

Peril-

Is an eternal punishment

what I deserve

Because I couldn’t find

what I was looking for?

I want insurance

In case I am proven wrong

I don’t want to feel

Regret,

Pain,

Remorse

for myself

Forever

I need to be convinced

Erase enough logic

that is infesting my mind

which lets no irrational ideas-

Sneak in

and let me give into the impossible

Because I want to

Conquer all problems

Receive perfection

And know that I can

Believe
