The bile rises in her throat as she recalls the horrid events of the week prier.

The memory, still strong in her mind, makes the air she breaths thick with fear.

As the caller tells her of conversation with a friend, she begins to weep.

How could he still love her when such things occurred?

Even though they were just wishes, they were from the heart.

She had almost cheated…and he still cared.

But did he only care because she had forgiven him for his past?

Or did he truly care and wish to stay?

Whatever the answer was, she may never know the truth.

So there I sit, upon the couch, forever not knowing the truth.

Whatever the truth may be, I know I have done wrong…and can not take it back.

And for that…I am sorry, my love.
