Senior Year

It's funny how time flies
How quickly four years pass
We're saying our good-byes
No longer senior class

It's funny how friends grow
How special they can be
Somehow they always know
Even if they don't agree

It's funny how love changes
How the first becomes the last
How the heart exchanges
The future for the past

It's funny how we're leaving
When it feels we've just begun
We walk on, not believing
Our time here is truly done

It's funny how we move on
When it feels just like we stay
Those we love aren't really gone
They're not that far away

It's funny how things change us
When we want to stay the same
The world moves around us
It's time to play the game

And though we go our separate ways
Remember I'm still here
I'll remember the good old days
Our crazy senior year

I'll be there when you feel like breaking
I'll be there when you want to let go
I'll be there when your heart is aching
I'll be there to help you grow

True friends are the ones who
Never have to say good-bye
I'll never forget that it was you
Who gave me wings to fly
