I am

I am sensitive and imaginative
I wonder how many stars the endless sky holds
I hear the lonely howl of a silver wolf standing proudly on a cliff
I see the reflection of a full moon rippling in a lake
I want to wake up before dawn and watch the sunrise on a clear day
I am sensitive and imaginative

I pretend that I am a falcon soaring through the night sky
I feel a gentle cloud brush my feathers as I glide by
I touch the gnarled branches of a cypress as I alight
I cry when I see a newborn animal struggling without its parents
I am sensitive and imaginative

I understand that life is scarcely fair
I say we should take a chance despite whatever odds are against us
I dream that discrimination and prejudice will one day be forgotten
I try to encourage people to believe in themselves
I hope that people can see one another as equals
I am sensitive and imaginative
