Apathy

Towards the sun, on eternal wings

Stopped by a solar eclipse

Falling towards the earth again

Killing the soul, the passion to fly

Slowly you rot, apathy conquering

Turning to the other side

Armed with spears, they come for you

Leaving you to die

Your physical form is alive and well

But you are broken inside

Your dreams, crushed like fragile glass

The world is torn asunder

Why do you care now? You are gone

Those who love you disappear

You can no longer see clearly

A single wall of black

Darkness pollutes your very self

You no longer aspire

But instead lie down still

And wait for it to claim you.

You give up, you care no longer

The ones who love you have died

Was it your fault? Darkness took you

However, you did not recover

You are a loser, one who does not

Believe or trust or strive

Those who do will surely have

An early death of the mind
