So Joyful Now

I'm not sure how to begin,

going around saying what I mean,

words seem to simple for this,

but it's the only way I know how to express.

You threw me that one rope,

when I was so close to straying,

into that dark abyss.

So joyful now.

And I've never said

"Thank-you"

with as much emotion,

as I did then.

Now I know,

I need not have a fear

of drowning

in this turbulent sea we've labeled life,

so joyful now.

How do I express,

such emotion?
