There was a chill to the air when we exited the club. I was shivering visibly and Gabriel not missing a beat of our unique song placed his coat around my shoulders. As I looked up at him to express my gratitude, our eyes locked and the words where stolen from my lips. His eyes are almost indescribable in their beauty; they are such a crystal blue that they made my warm honey look like a muddy pond.

“ Come along my Rhapsody, the hour is growing late, and the dawn is approaching much too soon for comfort” He said breaking the silence and leading the way down the road. I followed him like a lost puppy that has finally found some one who can lead him home.

We reached our destination after only a short time. We were standing outside an old stone building. “ We’re hear,” he whispered to me as he unlocked the front door.

I walked in first and next thing I knew Gabriel had thrust me up against the wall and pulled me into a deep crushing kiss. He ran his tongue against my bottom lip, demanding entrance, and that was a demand I was all too willing to meet. He then after what seemed a blissful eternity, pushed himself off me with the greatest of effort.

“ Come along, my apartment awaits” he growled, his voice thick and husky,

He guided the way up the stairs to his apartment. Opening the door and motioning for me to enter I steeped in and the door closed behind me.

“Come along Rhapsody, my sweet melody, to the bedroom were we may pursue more cardinal delights,” Gabriel whispered in my ear before taking my hand andconvaing me to the bedroom. He motioned for me to sit down on his lush four-poster bed with its black velvet hangings but I would have none of it. After he closed the door I rushed at him using my momentum to force him against the wall and kissing him with all the passion I could muster. I trailed my tongue along his lower lip Begging for entrance, hardly waiting for permission before I barged into his warm dark mouth. He tasted faintly of blood, but I took no heed. I ran my tongue along his upper teeth, to my surprise I discovered two long sharp fangs, and pricking my tongue on one of his fangs I broke the kiss at the taste of my blood.

“You’re a vampire,” I exclaimed after caching my breath. He was a vampire, a thing of unthinkable beauty preserved forever. In one moment I knew why he had attracted me, I have always longed for the darkness, the beauty found only in the night, and now, at last I have found it.

“Yes, I am. Do you have a problem with that?” He stated, though his voice was calm, any trace of its former grace had vanished.

“No, not at all it just shocked me a little, that’s all.” I said hoping I hadn’t destroyed my chances with this beautiful creature of the night.

He didn’t reply, he just pushed me down on to the lush silk covered bed and kissed me again. This kiss was full of more passion than the all others. He started to kiss his way down to my throat. When he reached the pulsing highway of blood in my neck, he halted his tender assault on my body and asked in his deep seductive voice once more the words that would alter my destiny in more ways that I could imagine,

“ May I, my sweet Rhapsody, May I make us one?”

And once more without thinking I changed my fate irreversibly,

“ Nothing would make me happier, Gabriel,”

He took no further persuasion; he simply placed his lips to my tender neck and sunk his fangs deep into my flesh. The was pleasure mind-blowing, I was aware of every drop of blood as it rushed from me and in to Gabriel’s hungry mouth, trying to quench his insatiable thirst. I could feel each and every drop of my perishes blood as it flowed from my body and into Gabriel's hungry mouth. I was also aware that with each and every beat of my heart, death loomed closer waiting to write my name in his tome, but I didn’t care.

“Don’t stop,” I cried out in ecstasy, but the feeling wasn’t to last, after what seemed like merely a moment of this sweet tortuous ecstasy, my body started to scream in agony.

Gabriel released in an instant what had happened, thinking quickly he brought his wrist up to his fang and tore the tender flesh. He then placed the wounded appendage to my lips and said “Drink or die,”

I chose to drink; I lapped up his blood greedily. Its flavor surpassed anything I had ever tasted before, it was dark, rich and slightly metallic, it was like what I imagine the nectar of the gods to be. Sadly the pleasure was washed away all to quickly, and a fresh wave of agony replaced it.

“The pain you feel is only your mortal body dieing, but have no fear it will not take your soul with it,” Gabriel said with a sad smile, as left the world of the living, never to return again.
