Discard

You should do this to trash,

Not to me, never to anyone!

All left alone, outside,

In the darkness where you put me.

I feel not needed, unimportant,

Like holey socks, thrown out.

I don't want to feel disregarded,

Yet that's how you treat me;

Like spoiled food out of the fridge,

You throw me away.

Out of your like, you do it again,

To others like me,

As if we all were cards in your hand,

That you don't want anymore.

Your "trash" piles up on the curb.

How could you reject me?

I feel so unwanted.

You push me aside, for more,

Than you just ruin them, too.

We all end up in the dump.

All, bills, dolls, books, toys. Towels;

Why can't you just take care

Of your possessions?
