Twilight Anthem

Oh say can you find,

Through the dawn's haunting mist,

What so proudly I,

Hailed as the twilight's,

Saving grace?

Whose full moon,

And star-dotted skies,

Watched perilous fight,

After fight fueled by lies.

Dim moonlight,

Gallantly streaming,

And sickening red,

Glares, the bombs,

Built from thin air,

Gave proof every,

Night that our rage was,

Still shared.

Please say that this,

Soft warm twilight sky,

Will stay,

And no more will I be,

My broken blue heart's slave.
