I asked to be in love, to find true love

People always said be careful in what you wis

Too many of the little things, I’ve gotten tired of

I’m sorry to say, I’m tired of love’s shit

I’m troubled beyond my imagination

Tired of acting like I don’t care

But then I’m blesses with the realization

That nothing in love is ever fair

Shielding my heart, for years and years

Thinking it’s the smart thing to do

By opening it, I can barely see beyond the tears

Please believe no one loves you but you

I’m tired of letting love run its course

Leaving my heart trampled and bruised

But now I close my heart back up with no remorse

Won’t ever win this game of love, cuz I’m afraid to lose

Don’t have to worry about me gettin hurt

No more sad poems leaking from my pen

Tired of trying to love

Tired of breaking my heart

This cycle of pain will now end
