Eventual Value

Cascading doom,
Where darkness looms,
Inside a tomb
Where I'll one day lie!
Dying breaths,
A hopeless test,
Unavoidable death—
To one day die!

To breathe,
And scream,
I’ll one day be
Something!
To hate,
Relate,
I’ll one day make
Something!

I’ll one day be worth something!

The bleeding wounds,
Dead flowers bloom,
There is no room,
Left inside!
I’m not the best,
But not depressed,
For I can rest—
And I’ll one day die!

A funeral veil,
The anguished wails,
I’ll never fail—to be
Something!
These crying words,
Meant not to hurt,
I’ll not be burned—
I’ll be something!

I’ll one day be worth something!
