Irrelevant

Stagnant, swampy water
Broken by a stone
Did the ripples even bother
To find from where it was thrown?

A ripply disturbance
One ring, then further; two—
But is it not so worthless
To not be seen by you?

And is not every bug that flew
And fish that swam away
Irrelevant when judged by you?
Does it have any sway?

The rock was not thrown far enough
The ripples one too few—
But is it not irrelevant
When it is judged by you?
