There is a brighter side to life,
And you’ll survive the pain of today.
For tomorrow will bring a softer touch,
That you’ll find in the early morning rays.
The hurt you feel is new and different,
And for once hitting rock bottom is comforting.
One morning you’ll see the clearer side of this,
And understand that yes, life isn’t all fun and games.
There are barriers that trap us deep,
Yet our self confidence put them there.
If you don’t try, you can’t seem to see,
That there is beauty in this life we live.
Beauty can’t be measured,
Yet pain still shows that you exist.
But the hurt will dull eventually,
Even though the emptiness is silencing.
A/N: Just for the record, this is a rewrite. In my creative writing class our teacher wrote a poem with clichés and we had to rewrite it, so this is my re written edition, so I can’t claim 100 authorship over this. But I do like it, so that’s why I posted it.
