Exuberance

We were prompted to write a poem that dealt with a certain word. I got exuberance. So here's my take on the word. Hope you like it!

Exuberance

The smoke swirls,
twisting its euphoria,
around my heart.
Another intake,
a breath,
and Im flying.
You're still on
the cold ground below me
and I take your hand,
lift you up into,
those happy plumes of smoke.
We fly together,
and for the first time,
exuberance wrapps itself,
around my shoulders,
and hugs me like a jacket.
It seeps into my brain,
controlling me,
and you truley smile at me.
I smile back,
as we descend together.
Ill never forget,
this feeling,
this moment,
this love.
