As the brilliant hues of autumn fade,

The solitary winter comes out to play.

The temperatures drop so it’s snow can stay.

Silence descends like a sharp blade.

-

Cutting off the sounds.

-

As the blinding lights of the sun fade,

The creatures of the night come out to play.

Stars dot the sky, forever to stay.

The crescent moon lay gleaming like a sickle blade.

-

Causing the snow to dance beneath it’s rays.

-

Here it is now; the time is ripe.

So silence your whining; control your gripe.

It is here in this solitary scene,

That you shall learn to appreciate all you’ve seen.

-

Take a breath of the frigid air.

Upon the heavens our gazes stare,

Soaking in the beauty; never to forget…

For we cannot stay long.

-

Now my dear, place it down.

It’s face still blue from having to drown.

It is here that we shall make our final goodbyes.

Away from all the other grieving eyes.

-

Farewell my child.
