This is my third attempt at decent poetry and is a true story as well. Thanks to Unus Salus Monkey for the lovely reviews on my other works!
I was sitting at the table, minding my own

Business, when I looked up and

My eyes caught the light of the

Stained glass window at the west end

Of the building.

It crossed my mind that the light was

Beautiful, so beautiful that I could

Gaze at it for hours, even as it

Changed slowly from ribbons of

Fire and gold to muted shades

Of purple and dusty rose.

I could see the shimmering

Orb of the sun behind the

Glass, shining through in a

Myriad of jewel-like colors that

Spilled over the tables in the

Dusty air, and I thought that

Maybe the light from behind the glass

Was the true source of beauty;

And if so, why did we put up

The glass at all?

Like I said, this actually happened...I'm not telling you straight out the message of this, you have to figure it out for yourself like I did :) Please review!
