Electric Nature

Watch me as I float

Through the gold and shimmering

Of the leaves as they fall to the ground

I promise, when I find you

You’ll never have to be alone again

Wrapped up in this autumn breeze

And I’m waiting on you

The air lifts me up and tangles my hair

Shivers down the small of my back

Cupping the last butterfly in my hand

Seasons change and the show must go on

The scenery is on wheels

Out fades the fleeting scent of the tropics

In rolls the blanket of autumn

The cast is all dressed for occasion

In their most fashionable attire

Let’s dress up and play that game again

You can be the psycho in the driver’s seat

And I can be the hitchhiker strapped with a machete

We can drive all night until we reach the lake

You’ll never have to be alone again

Wrapped up in this autumn breeze

And I’m waiting on you

The air lifts me up and tangles my hair

Shivers down the small of my back

Cupping the last firefly in my hands

Droplets of water fall from the clouds

The sky grows dark and the air turns damp

Grey and roaring, the clouds call out

Electricity lights up the shadows

This feeling is so powerful

Watch me as I float

Through the glimmering of the rain

As it beads down, matting my hair to my face

I swear, when I find you

You will never have to be alone again

This feeling is so powerful
