Love if Beauty

A Pretty Face

A coaxing voice

That's all we ever see

The tales we spin

That we've found true love

When in reality we don't know his name

We watch our dream from afar

Too scared to get close

For fear of sheer rejection and misery

Why are we afraid to discover

If an ounce of love is there

If there's a journey in our future

Why do we fall head over heels

Over something we don't know

Judging the present by its wrapper

We don't know his personality

We don't know his name

But we've sold our heart to him

The unnamed object of love

A journey on a broken path

When we choose to follow our heart

Instead of our intuition

To go with our feelings

Instead of what we know is right

To let our ignorant blindness take over

If you follow your heart

It will surely break

For nothing lasts forever

To follow your heart

Is a big mistake

Its wreckless; far from safe

We're all afraid of getting hurt

We're all afraid of pain

But a broken heart can the be the most

rewarding thing

When somebody comes to heal it
