Thoughts of a Rag Doll

Author's Note:

I've been packing for our big move lately and found all of my old dolls, this is a little tribute to them.

-----

Pick me up and throw me down
Put me back in the toy box
Forget about me for the night
I'm cold in this plastic coffin

Make me drink your imaginary tea
Talk to me about nonsense
Make me sit next to that teddy bear I hate
Throw the teacup at me when I don't pay attention

Drop me off the top of the stairs
Laugh as I bounce and hit my head
Mock my pain you little brat
But then again, I'm only made of cloth

Ignore me as you grow older
Put me in the back of the closet
Wrinkle your nose at my tears and stains
Call me garbage

Don't you remember all of our good times?
All the tea parties and games of doctor?
Don't you love me anymore?
I'm yours and I've always have been!

Look at me with a sad smile
See, you're remembering!
Patch me up and wash my clothes
I was right, you do love me!

Hand me off to this little clone of you
She looks just like you, who is she?
Wait? What is she doing?
Damn it , I hate tea parties.
