We all need someone else to blame

Other than the person in the mirror

Afraid to pick up the pieces of ourselves

So used to always living in fear

We’re all tired of always running

In a never ending circle

Because no matter how hard you try,

Your path just won’t turn straight

Why is it

That history repeats itself?

That we all make the same mistake twice?

Why can’t we all just heal ourselves?

This self imposed pain

Our own self hatred

Is destroying us slowly

Forgiveness doesn’t come easily

Especially when we can’t forgive ourselves
