Mother Nature
noun: the natural world; creator of the world; nature.
A wild mane of twigs
sit atop the regal head, the
long drawn out nose
framed either side by blackened eyes.
A tapered neck flows to hanging breasts;
shadowed with bands like an oak.
Shoulder cut open to expose age, leading
to ribbon-like green shoots
appearing almost to be tied to elbows.
From the start of hands appear
intermixed mahogany and emerald streamers;
forming earthy pompoms. They brush
against a narrow waist, which
flares out into a gown like bottom.
Cutting through tall blades, rings flow
like ripples. Shifting in and out of view;
hiding in a shrinking world.
Her name escaped all but a few;
here comes Mother Nature gliding through.
