A Beautiful Death

A spark of a lighter,
a flick of her wrist,
she puts a cigarette,
up to her lips.

She inhales,
a cloud of smoke,
as she exhales,
she begins to choke.

The smell of death,
is in the air,
on her clothes,
and in her hair.

Beautiful she is,
innocent she is not,
death becomes her,
her body starts to rot.

A beautiful death,
she must die,
she knows to stop,
and starts to cry.

She can’t give up,
her way of life,
her heart is cut,
deep with a knife.

I try to help her,
I tell the truth,
I say “please, stop,
I love you.”
