Desire, duet with Anonymous Friend

The arrow pierces the silence of night,

Striking a heart to lovers' delight.

The tear, it sears; the blow, it smites,

Ridding their world of all its light.

But chambers open; doors unlock.

Love is their god and time just stops.

A longing glance between starving souls,

Feeds their desire; heals their wounds.

Then to lovers' remorse the night fades,

Giving way to the morning rays.
