Lamentation
Author:
mizu no kokoro PM
Don't cry, there will be shoulder for you to rest upon... when the darkness parts and the light comes back... the purpose of existence will reveal itself, so be patient, and don't cry... not for me, not today...

Lamentation

-

To the place draped in darkness

A soft echo is tumbling away

Reaching on into the taut silence

The grieving stars are starting to fade

-

Those hazy dreams, still linger near

So don't forget, not when we part

This invisible stain from fallen tears

Irreplaceable, pale memories in my heart

-

Time, now lost to painful remembrance

With the monotonous days passing on

Joyous wishes that drift, evanescence

A sweet smile swept away and gone

-

Echoing into the forlorn darkness

A sorrowful melody dangling in the wind

Stars once bright, fading with grievance

For a past, I just can't leave behind

-

An unfulfilled destiny
