The failure of perfection
My broken connection
Love is a disappointment
A wreck of adjointment

Fuck this wedding ring
The only thing that you bring
Isn't love or joy, it's hurt
I don't think this will work

When you proposed you made a vow
So tell me what happened now
You tied the knot then chickened out
That's not what marriage is about

Marriage isn't an irrational decision
It's love down to a precision
So tell me where you changed your mind
Cause baby you made a bind

You're stuck with me
I'm so sorry
You promised to love me
For the rest of our lives baby

And that's what you'll do
This I promise you
You'll fulfill your commitment
That's your utmost punishment

So I'll wear this golden band
On the ring finger of my left hand
As a daily reminder of
Our forced love

You're stuck with me
I'm so sorry
You promised to love me
For the rest of our lives baby

And that's what you'll do
This I promise you
You'll fulfill your commitment
That's your utmost punishment

So I'll wear this golden band
On the ring finger of my left hand
As a daily reminder of
Our pre-arranged love

A/N: not sure where i got the idea for this. i was lying in bed in our hotel room the other nigth when i came up with it. i guess it's an analogy to a relationship, in essence. not that i've ever had to worry about infidelity, either. don't ask. haha.
