Crimson Addiction

Rivulets of the rising blood—
Spilling—drilling—like a flood!
Yet none of this can be enough—
My dirty, contaminated blood!

My skin has remained unmarred—
But again I’ve made these scars!
This is my only anodyne—
The only catharsis I can find!

Circles—circles—life repeats;
I recover, then it consumes me!
From this dysfunction I’ll never be free—
Because destructive cycles will repeat;

My skin now covered with the red—
My nerve endings will soon be dead!
From every single cathartic release—
Crimson addiction consumes me!
