Rage of Black Horses

I hear the pounding of black hooves

Resonating within my mind

Through my blood

My soul

Black horses of rage

Black horses of hate

Manes streaming in the winds

Of my ire

Eyes red from the blood

I've shed

The heat of them burns through my flesh

Setting my chest afire

I swear sweet desire's flames leap

From my eyes

My hands ache to destroy

Ache to cause pain to the cause

Of this rage

This hateful, degrading feeling

I seem unable to control

At the same time I feel like crying

Shedding the rage as salty, bitter tears

Evaporating upon my face

burning,

Burning from the fires within

I do not know how

to control the horses

Flames

feelings

sorrow

of hurting those I love

Until I do

The horses rage on
