The Winding Path

Life is a winding path,
And all of us are blind.
We cannot see,
What we’re walking towards.

Traveling through day and night,
Not knowing where we’re going,
Still we continue moving forward,
Towards our own demise.

Others may join our journey,
Some may fall behind,
But those who remain with us,
Shall become our guides.

There are times when we must walk alone,
There are times we’ll trip and fall,
But we’ll arise and walk again,
There’s not stopping now.

There are many mountains we must climb,
Many rivers we must ford,
There our countless demons we must face,
But much are the rewards.

We all must reach the journey’s end,
And when we do we’ll die,
But getting there must be worth it,
‘Cuz we’re still walking on.

Well, what'd everyone think? This is my first poem in a while, I think I did pretty good, though I ended up ryhming in certain places without meaning to. I hope you all enjoyed it. This poem is different from all my other ones, it's not as dark or depressing...maybe because I'm enjoying my life at the moment and my writing is reflecting it. Oh well, whatever the reason behind it, I hope it came out alright to everyone reading it. Please review. Ja!
