Caught sight of it,
Just by accident
But maybe not
Half smile
We stare, coolly, in the heat
Life Shot
Unaware
We were posing, natural,
One hand on your shoulder,
Other wrist draped around his neck
Like Lovers
Anyone’s neck
Human Contact, beloved,
The light shines over our faces,
Me and you and them and everybody
Like joy
Maybe its just the tan we picked up
Which makes us glow
Like children
Or lovers
Something noble in our gilded skin,
Almost chiselled somehow
Stony
Cold to the touch
Like marble, regal
Carved for ever and ever
Half alive to keep others blooming
And stir romance
For all the world
Like Lovers
