PRIVATE MOMENT

An organ of peace;

melodic and sweet.

Awake and asleep

in mud ten feet deep.

A verse, and a worse

word of hope,

unbidden, comes running

to sever the stars.

Simple and caustic;

electrical kick!

Barbed wire cupboards:

unshut and disopened.

Falling star failing -

ignition disabled.

Emergency exits

breed bottomless pits.

A kiss in a tempest,

composing sonatas.

Fortify me inside

with your red brick walls.

Upright I fall down;

touch me, I drown.

Fix me, won't you?

Be a dear to me.

Accelerate and reverse;

crash, and crash some more.

This is my ball of fire.

This is my great desire.

Flashing in the night-time,

like a beating heart,

the light of you,

the halo that surrounds.

Proposal of destruction:

adamant, persuasive.

Screaming is an option;

silence does not exist.

So kiss me in the night-time;

inflame my flesh and bones;

drug me up and take me -

I am yours alone.
