Note, this bit of poetry is in desperate need of a title so if you have an idea PLEASE give it to me!!!
You finally stopped addressing yourself to her,
And with a piercing emerald stare you silently challenged me,
To a duel,
A fight, for the title of most dominate
A race flipped backwards, where the one who takes the longest wins.
With a tingle of excitement, I drew fiery daggers of an ocean blue.
Blue like the tempest sea in the heat of her raging war.
And I accepted your contest.
So our complicated waltz began.
If I stepped left, you stepped right,
Round after round,
Dance after dance,
Battle after battle,
I shattered your sword and smote your fiery being on the icy mountainside
But you always came back for more, your eyes dancing, as if you reveled in your defeat.
And when that happy malice was banished from your eyes, and we could no longer fight This silent war in secret, you retreated in to the abyss.
Whispering wordless warnings, and as if a lingering hunger had finally been fed.
