My amphetamine, a red river flowing through my veins
My romance, a dead woman in front of my eyes
Blue shades of grey that drift through my nose
I'll love you forever as long as the day is dead

Razorblade roses from the lips of the past
A history of violence it creeps 'round my throat
She's beautiful, just as the summer grows colder
And her eyes, they caress my own white life of present

Drifting down the river, something tugs at my paddle
Drowning, falling into a pact with the love of my life
Amphetamine be mine, love my heart as no one has
Make me forget just what I used to know

Fill me up, amphetamine, you're my new saviour
Save me from hell as no one ever has
It's here on earth and until I can run
Be my love amphetamine, inject yourself in me

The fire is blue; the smoke won't always choke me
No longer do I wonder just what I might've been
Without you amphetamine, to fill my heart with wonder
Love me 'til I'm sick, my darling, then continue 'til I'm dead
