Calmness

Calm is a state of mind

Impossible to achieve

And impossible to live without

Many try and many fail,

But believe they succeed,

Never knowing differently

I have tried and I have failed

So now, knowing calmness

Will never find its place within me,

I have given up.

I will wilt and fade

Like a spring rose in winter.

But, unlike the rose,

I will not prosper

Once spring returns.
