A/N: Sniffle. That last chapter was so sad. Here’s the next one. We’re going to start putting Dolly back together again! Yay!
-Levi-
When neither of us had any more tears to cry, I carried Dolly into the bathroom and set him on the edge of the sink. Wetting a towel, I gently wiped his cheeks clean of black makeup smears. His lip shook as tears still cascaded down his face, hot and wet on my hand. He looked different with no makeup. Purer, more innocent. More like himself.
He gave me the absolutely most pleading and hopeful look I had ever seen in my entire life. I can’t possibly describe it. My hand, still hold the wet cloth, was at his cheek. His face was wet with water droplets and salty tears. His head was tilted upward, his eyes locked to mine. His mouth was slightly open, his bottom lip wet where he had been chewing it. Strands of soaking black hair were plastered to his ghostly pale face pitifully. His thin eyebrows were pulled back in an almost relaxed way, and his glistening moss green eyes were wider than usual. He made no noise, just stared up at me, letting his eyes say what he could not; that more than anything in the entire world he wanted me to save him, and there was no doubt in his mind that I could.
Forcing myself to look away, I leaned forward and kissed the top of his head. He was adorable. He collapsed onto my chest, sobbing. I tried to hush him, stroking his hair. “Sweetie, you’ve got to try and calm down. You’re going to make yourself sick. It’s going to be alright.”
His head fell forward onto my shoulder. “I’ll tell you what.” I said, stroking his hair. “We’re gonna go into town. You can get a new outfit, we can go for ice cream, get a manicure. Have fun, you know? My treat. Then you gotta go to rehab or something.”
“No.” He said weakly. “Don’t make me go away from you. I thought you loved me.”
“I do love you, Dolly. That’s why you have to go. You’re very sick. We have to take you to a shrink at least. I’ll stay with you as long as I can, I promise. Do we have a deal?” I lifted his chin so he was looking at me.
More tears ran down his face. “Ok.”
A/N: Very short, I know, but I have to stop there. I’ll try and update soon.
