Without Him

I’m an author, a poet,

I’m odd, and I know it.

I’m a warrior, I’m a scout,

And I throw out

My thoughts.

But, now, please tell me,

Where, oh where, would I be

If it weren’t for He who can see

My heart?

On this rollercoaster we call life

There is happiness, sadness, peace and strife;

But which of us could fully ride

Without the One in whom we confide

Our fears?

May the world turn as a whole

To the Lord who will fill us full

Of joy.
