"Where the Shadow Meets the Sun"
…
A path begins beneath the trees
Thickly laid with autumn leaves
Near the place the river runs
Where the shadow meets the sun
…
A silent path that leads away
Into the light of breaking days
Though shade must first be overcome
Where the shadow meets the sun
…
The stars slash through with silver light
The darkness in the deep of night
The threads of Midnight's shroud undone
Where the shadow meets the sun
…
The stillness of the morning air
Claims a lingered moment there
Basking in the day begun
Where the shadow meets the sun
…
A path begins beneath the trees
Thickly laid with autumn leaves
Endless journeys bound as one
Where the shadow meets the sun
…
Author's Note: This poem, as with most that I write, has been long in the process of writing, and I have only just finished it today. Tell me what you think of the second to last line. Reviews are very much appreciated.
