Second Guess Mouthing

She’s plain and tall and shameless

Emptying thought into dollar store paper with ease and aptitude and spunk

Fine on tuesdays and wednesdays

But thursdays are for hanky-skirts and mini-shirts and lipstick the colour of irrate dick

You can only buy it from the on-your-knees store

I hope she feels better

I hope she feels like a queen

Some of us pop painkillers

She pops acid testosterone fluid

Salt white dripping down her chin

She comes to school the next day and licks her best friends

Who know but don’t think, when they share a soda or bite of brownie, that their second-guess mouthing her

Self appointed worthlessness
