just so that someone might want to know why

she wishes that she listened
to punk rock, just so that someone might try
to whisper in her ear.
she wishes that she was shrouded
in black every day, so that someone might reveal
the colors that paint the world to her.
she that she could wear an obvious mask,
and that someone might want to take it off.
but no-
she is to deadly smart for that.
she puts on a more believable act.
she smiles, laughs, skips, and runs
