Like leaves on the wind
Strolling through waking dreams in silent woods,
I evoke ghosts of an enticing past.
Where are the bygone days that went so fast
By season’s turns and life’s hysteria?
The winds usher chimes to the gates of thoughts
And sighed words of melancholy reborn,
By weaving cries and ghosts my heart is torn
As turning leaves are shed upon our paths.
Our twilight vows we violate in lives
Unworthy of the affliction we endure,
Despite our hopes and dreams, despite the lure
We are like frail leaves in the ebbing winds.
I haunt the glades and trees of my mistakes
Where I blessed the sanctuary in your heart,
Will the thought of you embrace a new start
And bring me back to a season of love?
