The pounding of the rain could be heard from the steps of the subway, the occasional flash of lightning or rumble of thunder adding to the city atmosphere. The underground train pulled up, somewhere in the background, depositing a large horde of people while taking away another. Somewhere in the beams of the underground a set of pigeons were cooing, and on a grime covered bench a homeless man lay, snoring, and clutching a bottle of some type of alcohol. Various stains covered the ground around him, adding to the depressing sight.

Despite the loud noises of the traffic heard above, and the crowd of people rushing about talking loudly, laughing, or being rude, the kiss was perfect. Both of their breathing stopped as there lips softly pressed together, and both could swear their hearts stopped on contact. The dripping water from the high ceiling was landing on their shoulders and back, but they were oblivious, concerned only with each other and the feelings passing between them. They could think only of each other, and the place around them was forgotten entirely.

That is, until, the sound of bullets pierced through the air, startling the pair and many others.

Robin's Note: Hells yes.
