Duality

Well it looks like they bombed another innocent

We stared horrified as lives were taken in an instant

It wasn’t justified, we know that

Like a hawk we watched carefully

As mice scurried in panic of a lazy cat

Why is it that we are so quiet?

And you clearly resort to a riot?

Like a river we split apart

Nestling in a gentle creek

And leading chaos down a waterfall rampart

The answer to why we are a duality

Eludes us, making us remember our mortality

For our brothers and sisters of different lands we mourn

You believe you are justified so I ask one thing of your tactics

As a rose, are you that of a petal, or of a thorn?

A/N: Yep. A war poem from Ake-chan. I originally wrote this for English class. It was supposed to be a Canadian Poem addressed to a different country. So the US isn't so far away...It's totally different from Canada. I hate the war. This sums it up.
