A/n: I wrote this for a Valentine’s Day gift for my boyfriend JC. It was a bit late, but still, I put in three days of effort into this, even if it is so short and...obviously not my best work ; Enjoy!

"My, aren't you pink today."

Taffy giggled. "I guess. But it's Valentine's Day! It's allowed!" She poked Jet in the chest. "And there's nothin' you can do about it, mister!"

The green-haired teen smirked. "Yes there is. Come here, you." He grabbed her arm and unzipped her jacket, then quickly spun her around and yanked it off, leaving her in her lavender tank top and white jeans. "See, now you're not very pink at all."

"Hey! That wasn't fair!" The albino made a grab for her jacket, but Jet held it out of her reach. "Jet! Give me my jacket! I'm cold!" She kept jumping for her jacket, one hand on Jet's shoulder to help her get higher.

He laughed as she kept trying. "Oh Taffy...you amuse me so. What would I do without you?"

"Die of boredom?"

"Haha. Very funny. But seriously..." Jet dropped her jacket and pulled her into a hug. "I wouldn't know what to do if I didn't have you. I would probably die."

Taffy looked up at him. "Jet..."

"Taffy, I love you. And I want to give you something after school, all right?"

"All right...meet you back here?"

A quick nod. "Yeah." The bell rang, calling students back to class from lunch. "Get going, don't want to be late." He quickly kissed her and nudged her in the direction of her next class. "See you later."

She turned and waved to him quickly, then jogged off down the hall to her class.

Jet grinned knowingly and meandered towards his own class.

"Can I open my eyes yet?"

"Not yet...just a few more seconds." A quick catch. "Sorry...watch your step, it's pretty rough."

"I trust you."

Jet helped Taffy down from the rocks onto the sand below. "Take your shoes off."

She did. "Sand? We're at the shore?"

"Open your eyes and see for yourself."

Pink eyes opened and slowly got adjusted to the lighting. She gasped as she saw what was on the sand before them.

A blanket was spread across the sand. On it were two candles, lit and flickering in the nearly non-existent breeze. A picnic basket was sitting to the side, and a small stereo was playing soft, gentle music. Across the water, the sunset made the ocean sparkle.

"Jet...it's amazing!" Taffy turned around and hugged him tightly. "I love you."

He chuckled. "I love you too, Taffy. Come on." He took her hand and led her to the blanket. They sat down and Jet moved the basket closer to her. "Go ahead...see what's in there."

She reached in and pulled out a container of strawberries. After putting them down, she reached in again. This time she withdrew a container of melted chocolate, still warm. Once again, she reached into the basket. Her hand didn't find anything.

"There's nothing left." She looked at him. "I can't find anything else."

"There's still something in there. Keep looking." Jet smiled. He could just see her reaction when she saw it.

Taffy searched some more until her fingers grazed a small object. She wrapped her fingers around it and pulled it out. In the light, she looked at it and gasped again. It was a red velvet box.

Pink eyes met green as Jet smiled at her. "Aren't you going to open it?"

"I...I can?" Jet nodded. She slowly lifted the lid of the box and her eyes went wide. "Oh Jet!"

The two teens went down into the sand roughly as Jet was glomped by the albino. Sand fell in their hair as it fell back down, but neither minded, as they were too caught up in their kiss to realize what was going on around them.

In the sand, off to the side, the small velvet box lay open. The sunlight poked inside, making whatever was inside sparkle. As the light faded, the ring inside continued to sparkle, it's meaning locked away inside the minds of the two lovers on the blanket.
