I am revitalizing and refreshing,
but rarely rejoiced.
No one can live without me
yet some people hate me.
Even though I am essential,
I am often taken for granted.

In some places I am nonexistent
and others I go on for miles.
I cannot be created nor destroyed,
but I can be transformed.
Sometimes I am pleasing, painful or peaceful,
but always practical.
