The Earth's nightlight forever sets its gaze upon me,
The secret thoughts in my head fly to it beyond my reach.
And as all of my secrets pour out to this illuminated moon,
I realize that my secrets will no longer be secrets soon.
For they will linger in the air between me and my friend,
Forever for eternities…always until the end.
"Will no one invade such a private and delicate air as this?"
"No need to worry about that for it is a bond between us, miss."
A bond that that can't be broken! O, what joy this is to my ears!
No one will ever find out about my greatest fears,
Or any of my precious memories, for they are all mine,
I am not being selfish… I am just setting things in a straight line.
"Why not share your adventures with those who have not done so?"
"I would never do such a thing! Insane it is! No!"
Maybe my bright friend has a point; my memories are powerful,
They can make the water ripple, and make the queen's guard flinch,
They can help make the word "ecstatic" erase the word, "sorrowful."
I guess the idea was not such a bad idea after all.
"Well, my friend, once again you are right."
"This is why I am here, miss…to help the darkness in every way become bright."
