I’m awoken by your fury.

I’m sorry I’ve hurt you.

I can tell by your breathing,

You’re still upset with me.

I only wish to look into your eyes,

Receiving only forgiveness.

But I know, all my lies,

They’ve shattered every hope,

Once carried in your heart.

I lay stiff as I feel you rise and hover over me.

I feel the end of your jagged stare empaling me,

Through the darkness.

A bitter tear falls to my tepid skin,

Soaking through to my heart, numbing it.

I set out only to enjoy life,

But instead I’ve broken you;

The one person that ever shared their selflessness with me,

Is now fading into my past.
